Adding a lightbar or set of driving lights to a modern car has never been easier

How Does It Work?

Modern vehicles have all the features you need, just sometimes the lighting output at high beam doesn’t cut it. The CANM8 CANNECT HIGHBEAM is an ideal solution for vehicles which require the installation of additional driving lights (via a relay) which are switched on when the vehicle high beam is active.

By installing into the vehicles digital CAN network, the CANNECT Highbeam interface converts the signal to a low ampere 12v output for your driving light circuit.

Installation

Installation Details

The interface features a mini wiring connector, which unplugs to allow easy installation. There are 2 connections to the vehicle CAN Bus wiring (CAN HI & CAN LO) along with a connection to a permanent, fused 12v power supply and an earth connection.

The interface incorporates a multi-function status LED, which indicates correct connection to the CAN system, CAN activity present and confirmation that the CAN identity has been recognised.

LED Status Details

	Flashing Red: Searching for CAN information.
	Solid Red: CAN Data received but vehicle not yet identified.
	Solid Green: CAN Data received and vehicle type recognised.
	Flashing Green: Vehicle speed detected.

Wiring Harness Details

RED	>	Connect via a 5A fuse to a PERMANENT 12v supply.
BLACK	>	Connect to a good chassis GROUND point.
WHITE	>	CAN HI Connection : Vehicle CAN HI wire.
BLUE	>	CAN LO Connection : Vehicle CAN LO wire.
PURPLE	>	High Beam Output : 12v (1A max) when the high beam is active.

Before purchasing this item from a retailer confirm the SW# is applicable to the vehicles listed below: – 300 Series Landcruiser – Interface must be SW:89 or above – 2018-2023 150 Series Prado – Use 2018> Toyota LandCruiser Installation Manual. – Late 2021-Up Subaru Outback – Interface must be SW:90 to 96 or 101 and above – 2022-Up Mitsubishi Outlander – Interface must be SW:92 or above – 2022-Up Subaru Crosstrek (G6X) & WRX (VB/VN), require an alternate software file. Please note these vehicles when placing an order.
Tech Note	– In some cases the HIGHBEAM output can be activated with the head lights turned off and the stalk moved to the high beam position. In these cases a switch will need to be installed to cut the power to the HIGHBEAM interface or find a power source that is only active when the lights are in the ON position. – We cannot guarantee the interface will replicate the AUTO dimming function if equipped.
